The CSU Athletic Department urges your support for this project. "Having Rocky Mountain Rumble at Hughes Stadium will add to the game day experience as it signifies the battling spirit of the Rams. Dawn's tireless efforts in seeing this project through are a testament to her professionalism and her desire to help CSU," says athletic director Paul Kowalczyk.

| The 1/4 inch of clay over the styrofoam point-up (enlargement) shown above has now been finished by Dawn and the mold maker must come to Dawn's studio and put two molds on this form: (1) is a thin coat of urethane rubber to capture all of Dawn's detail in the clay and (2) another mold of plaster of paris (which will keep the form correct for the wax pourer at the foundry).
We estimate that there will be approx 150+ mold pieces about 400 square inches each which will come off this monumental form and all of these molds will go to a foundry here in Loveland where the monument will be poured in the Lost Wax Method, like ancient days. It will take from 1 to
1 1/2 years before we have a completed Bronze Monument which will weigh approx. 1 1/2+ tons and be reinforced with stainless steel throughout the whole piece!

| This 2 1/2 ton Bronze Monument will now be officially installed just outside the SE corner of Hughes Stadium where the University has (this summer of 2011) completed a $2.5 million relandscaping/redevelopment of the entire area outside of Hughes in preparation for this Monument. |

This may be the last creation sculpted by Dawn due to her illness, BUT because of very recent advancements in computer knowledge, ANY & ALL of Dawn's existing creations may NOW be enlarged (pointed up) or reduced in size and still capture all the subtleties and detail!! So, if you have a request for another size which I feel has merit, please contact me (Tom, Dawn's husband and business manager) and we can discuss the possibilities! |
Dawn Weimer Bronze Sculpture
Dawn Weimer Studios offers only lost wax bronze sculpture cast with the utmost care and integrity at foundries in Loveland, Colorado, ("Sculptureville,USA!"). As my sculptures sell out, a letter is sent to every collector who owns the specific sculpture stating the bronze piece is SOLD OUT and the mold has been destroyed. Enclosed with the letter is a small piece cut from my original mold which further verifies it will not be produced again. Should you ever come across a sculpture you feel is suspicious of being a imitation of one of my pieces, please contact me so I can look into the matter of possible violation of copyright.
Virtually any bronze can be made lifesize. Inquiries for lifesize and monumental are welcome.
