| As I am working in clay on a sculptural piece with wonderful music playing, my studio begins to turn into a sanctuary. The joy of creating overtakes every other emotion, time seems to stop, and the Lord's presence becomes most evident. I can only imagine the joy Jesus has in His creation that lives and breathes! When Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins, Colorado contacted me to sculpt a piece for their new sanctuary, my thoughts went to Christ's joy in creating and interacting with His creation. My desire was to show Jesus Christ's joy and tenderness as He shares precious moments with His human friends as well as His "critter" friends. This piece includes an elderly grandmother with her cat rubbing against her leg. The grandson excited about finding a frog as his little dog looks on. As you turn the piece, you discover a turtle hitching a ride on the hem of Christ's garment, a little raccoon coming out from under the hem, a fawn literally "fawning" over Christ. This piece is also available Life-size+ and as a miniature |

As I work in clay on a sculptural piece, with wonderful music on the CD player, my studio begins to turn into a sanctuary. The joy of creating overtakes every other emotion, time seems to stop, and the Lord's directive presence becomes most evident. I can only imagine the joy Jesus has in His creation that lives and breathes, sings and dances, paints and sculpts, writes music and poetry, raises children, loves the wife, loves the husband, pats the dog, hugs the cat, brings home the bacon, and stays the course. Creativity is not limited to the arts, it comes in street clothes. God is the direct author of all that has been achieved on this planet, in space, in the arts, in science and medicine, in technology; and continues to be creatively involved in every aspect of His creation. Thanks be to God for allowing us to "borrow" His talent; and to have so much fun doing so!
