| Children seem to find this happy little fellow absolutely fascinating. At a recent art show, a two year old entertained himself (and the crowd!) by petting and kissing the fox on the nose. Itchabod-fox is patinaed in wonderful transparent red browns with the tip his tail and chest lightly polished for effect. As he scratches behind his neck, you will notice he has that same silly grin that your best canine friend has when scratching just feels so good. It's a fun piece that brings smiles and giggles; and I think joy and pleasure is what art should bring into our lives. This piece is wonderful installed outdoors to enjoy in a garden setting or to greet your guests at your entry. Itchabod-Fox is permanently installed at the Municipal Building of the City of Westminster, CO along with No Free Lunch. Itchabod was an award winner at the Western Heritage Artist Exhibit in Great Falls, MT and Trails West Show in Vancouver, WA. |

As I work in clay on a sculptural piece, with wonderful music on the CD player, my studio begins to turn into a sanctuary. The joy of creating overtakes every other emotion, time seems to stop, and the Lord's directive presence becomes most evident. I can only imagine the joy Jesus has in His creation that lives and breathes, sings and dances, paints and sculpts, writes music and poetry, raises children, loves the wife, loves the husband, pats the dog, hugs the cat, brings home the bacon, and stays the course. Creativity is not limited to the arts, it comes in street clothes. God is the direct author of all that has been achieved on this planet, in space, in the arts, in science and medicine, in technology; and continues to be creatively involved in every aspect of His creation. Thanks be to God for allowing us to "borrow" His talent; and to have so much fun doing so!
